Dance, music, movement. We are hard wired to respond to rhythms.
It seems to have a communal effect, something that conjoins us with others around us when we respond to music heard. It is much like the rhythmic pumping of our bodies' various integral systems and realistically stimulates those systems in our physical response even if just by tapping our feet. When we dance, we stimulate all the systems of our physical being and also the energetic aspect that interplays with our electrical/neurological selves.
Dance can be very communal in the sense that it can truly bind our energies together and uplift us. No matter what form, people dancing together is an uplifting and expanding experience. Whether very formal or very free or anything in-between. The music may entice, but it is the people dancing that creates the bind, makes it communal, helping all to uplift and expand.
If people might just sit together, hold hands and simply do a soft sway. Or stand in a circle to do so. No especial meaning, no agenda. Perhaps to move in a gentle rhythm.
Can we feel the rhythm of our being? And each others? Might we find this a way to uplift each other without any particular demand?
